10. Lil Wayne ft Corey Gunz- 6ft 7ft

Lil Wayne did release this song in December 2010, but he racked up more views in January than some artists do in one year. This Chopped and Screwed version doesn't have the, "Bring it Back" mixing style of DJ Michael Watts or OG Ron C. Instead the Harry Belafonte sample (also referred to as "that song in Beetlejuice where they are all, like, dancing around") is chopped ( not the Lil Wayne lyrics). This song symbolizes Wayne's return to Freedom and to the microphone. Did I mentioned the song's violent bass-line?

9. Freeway ft Static Selektah Mac Miller - PA

Freeway has dropped several songs this January including "PA", which, upon first glance, seems to be riding the coattail of Wiz Khalifia's smash hit, "Black and Yellow". However, the PA instrumental evokes mature emotion and these rappers cover more serious topics than Whiz Khalifia.

8. Kid Ink- La La La

Kid Ink's instrumental makers took a familiar sample and created a hip hop/ pop song.  The slow, laid back tempo transforms into a dubstep song for about four bars and returns to its normal ,dragging pace.  Kid Ink ads his style and catchy lyrics to ensure silly entertainment.

7. Maino-2011 Predictions

Similar to Maino's 2010 predictions but only in the instrumental. Maino prophesies the winner of the Lil Kim/ Nikki Minaj beef will be the plastic surgeons, that more Kardashians will appear, and reveals more of what pop culture might offer in the New Year. When Screwed, or slowed down, Maino's voice resembles that of Tupac. I predicted this song will be under the radar most of the year, until December. Then, we will see if any of his predictions come true.

6. XV- 2015

Not many rappers can create a decent song to an instrumental like this one. Some rappers may have more of an angry delivery, when spitting to this instrumental. Other will deliver too softy. Rapper XV seems to have a style that is in the middle and listeners can feel his serious, well-hidden anger, creeping out in this song.

5. 50 Cent- Happy New Year Freestyle

You have to give 50 Cent respect. If you made 8 million dollars in one twitter tweet, had a line of Headphones with your name on them, and was mentioned every time two quarters crossed America's greedy eyes, you might want want a little more respect too. However, when it comes to these lyrics, 50 Cent is delightfully despicable.

4. 1982 ft Statik Selektah and Terminology - Baby's Mama

This beat is smooth and entrances. In January, Statik Selektah created this and two key Freeway instrumentals ("PA" and "In the Hood"). This song gives child support a strange, almost humorous, vibe. If you do not enjoy Statik Selektah's instrumentals, then you are a bitter bitter being.

3. Meek Mill- Talkin Bout

Honestly, whoever decided to slow down this song should receive an award because Meek Mills's normal everyday voice will make you cringe with dissatisfaction.  The beat's entrancing xylophone is padded by extended tribal drum thumps and a single pounding kicker.  In the slowed down version, listeners have more time to mentally picture Mill's lyrics.

2. Mysonne- Loko

The Sample for Mysonne's "Loko" has the word Loko delivered in several pitches.  The beat structure is similiar to the one's manufactured by Bangledesh (Lil Wayne's A Millie and 6ft 7ft both have a 10 bar loop with 2 bars containing no bass and the other 8 jammed packed with a forceful, punch.  Mysonne has created music for years but rarely makes appearances in Southern cd decks.

1. Yelawolf ft Trae the Truth- The Sh*t I've Seen

The number one song has quite a sound to it. As the Instrumental begins, I can imagine you see the same bullfighter slowly lifting his red cape as the bull slips underneath it or maybe you are flying over numerous clear bodies of water in a tropical region. The song also has a unique message- After all these years I can keep my nose in my own business because I caused and seen enough crazy sh*t. However, If you do happen to cross me , I will pop trunk, pull out Lil Romeo and hopefully get it to spit bullets at you. As for Trae, whose truth is unabashed, we get the usual cup of lean.
